About Herbal Reboot
My Story
My passion for health started as I had to overcome my own health struggles. In 2009, after the birth of my 4th child, I became very sick, and to make a long story short, I had to undergo surgery to save my life. I was told it was a miracle that I survived and that my recovery would be long and would probably take a year or more to heal and gain back energy, they didn’t know for sure.
I spent the next few months mostly in bed. My little kids helped grab things for me, made easy foods, and did things I couldn’t do for myself. They had to grow up a bit sooner than most kids for our family to survive. I had to do things like crawl to get to the bathroom or have my husband hold me up to get around. Holding up my own body weight was difficult. If I wasn’t in bed, I had to sit in a chair.
What should have been the prime of my life at age 27, felt like I was living the life of a 95-year-old lady. Progress was slow and this was not the life I wanted. I didn’t know how to change it. A deep desire to learn and understand how things worked spurred in me. I wanted to understand who I was, what this life was for, and how I was going to overcome this! I became addicted to learning and couldn’t stop, the more I read, the more questions I had!

On a Path Towards Healing
The next 3 years I spent reading, studying, and searching to try and figure out what was wrong with me and how to fix it. I started learning about food and how what I was eating affected my body. I started buying some whole foods from local farms to get the most nutrient-rich foods I could. My health started to improve which motivated me to do more. There were a lot of sources for organic vegetables but it was a struggle finding local grass-fed meat and a raw milk source I felt good about. This struggle led me to a couple of new ventures.
In 2012, with the help of my husband and kids, we bought some land and I started Davis Family Organic Farm. We started milking dairy cows, and raising grass-fed meats; chickens, turkeys, pigs, cows, ducks, and goats. At first, it was just for my family. As my experience developed, we started raising meat animals for others in the community. We had quarterly butchering days where we taught people how to process the animals we had raised for them. At the same time, I also volunteered as the East Valley AZ Chapter Leader for the Weston A. Price Foundation. This volunteer work helped connect me with others on a similar journey of health where I was able to serve, grow, and learn more. This new lifestyle naturally led me to study things like gardening and health of the soil and I developed an especially great interest in using herbs for myself, my family, and my animals.
The Birth of Herbal Reboot
Studying and using herbs brought me to a crossroads. My health skyrocketed as I started adding herbs into my diet. Seeing the power of plants I also started increasing the amount of vegetables, nuts, seeds, grains and legumes (properly prepared) that I was eating. What came next was unexpected! The combination of my personal experience and my experience with my animals led to a great amount of understanding as I had the chance to test out a lot of different scenarios and how nutrition could help.
I couldn’t stop talking about it and before I new it, I had people asking me for recommendations about their health struggles. They started referring me to their family & friends and in 2015, I decided to officially start Herbal Reboot! I slowed down the farm and stopped raising meat animals and spent my time growing the herbal business! Since then I have had the chance to work with a lot of people with different health conditions. It has been a complete joy to feel like all my personal struggles have given me the opportunity to do some good in the world.
I am now a Life and Health coach as well as an Herbalist and LOVE to help those who are looking for help with their physical struggles, emotional struggles, addictions, or any imbalance in their life. I teach how to find the core problem that is causing pain and unhappiness in your life and teach how to use foods, herbs and essential oils to create balance. As you learn what your needs are and how to take care of yourself, wounds heal.
